February is the month of love! Whether you celebrate Valentine's Day or think it's a silly holiday, it's never a bad idea to express love for the people and things that make a positive impact on your life. As a small business owner, I deeply love and appreciate my family, friends, and customers who are always there to support me and cheer me on.
In honor of Valentine's Day month, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of some things I'm loving lately! Some of these items may surprise you, but take them as a reminder to express gratitude for even the smallest things in your life.
1. Angelus Paints
With Love, Paint would not be possible without Angelus Paints! This is the brand that I use to paint my shoes, and I've also started using their paint brushes as well. I use this brand every single day and love how it helps me bring creative ideas and projects to life!
2. My Nespresso
Many of us small business owners run on coffee—myself included. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably see me grabbing yummy drinks from my local coffee shops when I'm on-the-go. When I'm at home, I LIVE off of my Nespresso. My absolute favorite coffee is the Stormio Nespresso pods. Pro tip: frothing your creamer (specifically the caramel macchiato creamer from Starbucks) and adding a dash of cinnamon is delicious and makes you feel like your own barista!
3. The Sale Section on My Website
Is this a shameless plug? Perhaps. However, I couldn't help myself because the deals are just so dang good! On the sale page, you'll find the exact same quality of items that you typically find in my shop, but with super slashed prices. Some sale items include shoes (of course), stickers, shirts, hats, ornaments, candles, and more. If you need some quick gift ideas for an upcoming birthday, this is the place to look!
4. My Local Library
When was the last time you went to a library? If you don't remember and you aren't even sure if you still have a library card, you aren't alone. It took me a full year to get a library card after we moved, but I finally got one! It's my goal to develop a reading routine this year, and I'm excited to take advantage of the accessibility of my local library. If you also want to read more this year, I encourage you to get a library card as well!
5. Petco Vital Care
If you know me, you probably have seen my beloved dog Delta before. She is my trusty coworker and unofficial assistant who keeps me company while I paint. I love her dearly, but she will not let us cut her nails...and of course, they grow out super fast. We recently decided to sign up for Petco Vital Care's unlimited nail cutting and teeth brushing for $19/month. Scheduling is a breeze, and now Delta is a pro with getting her nails cut!
