This little business of mine started way back in 2015. I had been painting shoes for a few years and had been wanting to turn it into an Etsy shop. One night, I was up late in my apartment dreaming of all the things I wanted to do. I decided to just do it - because all the best ideas come at 12am, right? I hopped on my laptop and created an Etsy shop… and that was that. Just kidding, my shop was empty for about 8-10 months. Just sitting there collecting dust. I finally got brave enough to list a few shoes and a long 8 months later I sold my first pair of baseball Toms (of course I remember the design) to a sweet woman in Seattle. (did you think I would forget the city too?)
While it’s been an ongoing hobby for me I knew it could be more. The past few months I’ve been quiet on social media because I’ve been working behind the scenes to create this new company - With love, paint. Why the name change? Well, Caity and Co. never actually felt right. It was a name I made in the middle of the night when it was just me and my dog (I’m Caity, she’s the co - get it?) If you don’t know me in real life, you don’t know that I am a full-time writer. I’ve done a lot of writing over the last few years and wanted to create something that would mesh my two passions together. I also love getting mail, but I mean, who doesn’t?
I’ve sent shoes all over the country and even have shoes floating out there internationally. I want to be able to send art all over the world. Just know when you get your new shoes in the mail, it really is sent and create with love and well, paint.
Welcome to my new business. Same girl, same four-legged assistant, but new designs, new products, and a whole lotta new stuff coming your way this year.
